LinkLume Shortlink Rewards turns a WordPress site into a self-contained shortlink rewards platform. Registered users can complete administrator-configured shortlink campaigns, receive rewards after an administrator verifies completion, track balances in an internal ledger, invite referrals, and submit withdrawal requests.
The plugin is designed specifically for shortlink-based rewards. It does not require WooCommerce and does not add a timed faucet or PTC advertising system.

How shortlink claims work
- An administrator creates a shortlink campaign and selects a configured provider or a direct/custom URL template.
- A logged-in user starts an available campaign.
- The plugin creates a time-limited claim record and completion token.
- For an API-based provider, WordPress makes a server-side request to the configured provider to create the short URL.
- The user is redirected to the generated shortlink.
- An eligible return from a configured shortener API can credit the member automatically when the same member is signed in and return-based credit is enabled. Other returns enter the administrator review queue. A return URL does not independently prove a paid provider visit.
Shortlink providers determine what happens on their own websites. Site administrators are responsible for choosing providers whose terms, advertising practices, privacy practices, and local-law requirements are appropriate for their site and users.
Security and CAPTCHA
Administrators can enable CAPTCHA protection and choose Cloudflare Turnstile or Google reCAPTCHA. Protection can be enabled independently for registration, login, withdrawal requests, and the contact form. Google reCAPTCHA v2 checkbox and v3 score modes are supported. Verification is performed server-side using the administrator-supplied site and secret keys.
CAPTCHA is optional. If it is enabled, the selected provider receives the challenge response and normal request information required to verify the challenge. Site owners should disclose the selected CAPTCHA provider in their privacy policy.
Member pages and site content
LinkLume creates and manages a dedicated member experience for the rewards workflow. Depending on site configuration, members can access the dashboard, shortlinks, wallet/transactions, deposits, withdrawals, referrals, profile, FAQ, contact and legal pages. Administrators can edit the public legal/support content and manage FAQs as individual question, answer, category and published-status entries.
The contact page uses a form rather than requiring the administrator to publish an email address directly. Administrators should configure their support details and test delivery on their own WordPress installation.
Free and Pro
LinkLume Shortlink Rewards is the required Free/core plugin. LinkLume Shortlink Rewards Pro is a separate commercial extension and does not replace the Free core. The Free plugin includes a Free vs Pro comparison/upgrade flow. Pro licensing, trials, checkout, entitlement and eligible Pro downloads/updates are handled through Freemius.
Installing the Free plugin does not by itself unlock Pro functionality. A valid Pro entitlement or trial is required for the commercial extension.
Payments and gateways
The plugin contains administration fields and workflow records for FaucetPay, Cwallet, NOWPayments, manual withdrawals, PayPal, Stripe, mobile money, Paystack, and administrator-managed/direct deposits. Availability of an automatic transaction depends on the API implementation and capabilities enabled by the applicable provider.
The Free edition records withdrawal and deposit workflows and supports administrator processing. Enabling a method does not imply that LinkLume can automatically transfer funds through that provider. Automatic payout adapters, payout queues, webhook reconciliation, and advanced gateway automation are provided by the separate LinkLume Shortlink Rewards Pro extension when a supported gateway is configured. The Free edition does not claim that enabling a payment-method label automatically sends funds.
External services
LinkLume Shortlink Rewards can communicate with third-party services only when a site administrator configures and uses those services. No shortlink provider is required for WordPress itself to activate the plugin.
When an API-based shortlink provider is configured, the plugin sends a server-side HTTP request to the API endpoint entered by the administrator. Depending on that provider’s configuration, the request can include:
- The provider API key/token entered by the administrator.
- The destination/completion URL needed to create the shortlink.
- An optional alias when alias support is enabled.
The provider can receive the requesting site’s server information as part of a normal HTTP request. The plugin then reads the provider response to obtain the generated short URL.
The plugin does not control third-party services. Before enabling a provider, review that provider’s privacy policy and terms of service. Because LinkLume Shortlink Rewards supports administrator-defined provider endpoints, the exact third party and applicable terms depend on the service configured by the site administrator.
FaucetPay, Cwallet, and NOWPayments are third-party services and trademarks of their respective owners. LinkLume Shortlink Rewards is not affiliated with or endorsed by those services. If a site administrator enables one of these services, the administrator is responsible for reviewing and complying with that service’s current terms and privacy policy.

For administrator-defined shortlink API endpoints, the administrator must identify the chosen provider in the site’s privacy disclosures and review that provider’s terms and privacy policy before enabling it.
Optional CAPTCHA services:
- Cloudflare Turnstile challenge script and verification API are contacted only when Turnstile is configured and enabled by the site administrator.
- Google reCAPTCHA challenge script and verification API are contacted only when reCAPTCHA is configured and enabled by the site administrator.
LinkLume also integrates the Freemius WordPress SDK for product account, upgrade, trial, licensing and commercial Pro-extension workflows. Freemius functionality is separate from shortlink claim processing. Administrators should review the Freemius privacy policy and terms before opting in or purchasing Pro.
Source code and build process
LinkLume Shortlink Rewards ships with human-readable, modifiable source code. The JavaScript loaded by WordPress is not minified or obfuscated and does not require npm, webpack, a transpiler, or another build tool.

To modify an asset, edit the corresponding readable file directly. No third-party JavaScript library is bundled in these files.
Privacy
The plugin can store information needed to operate the rewards site, including WordPress user IDs, wallet balances, ledger entries, claim records, referral relationships, withdrawal/deposit records, payout destinations, security events, and administrative audit information.
Site owners should update their site’s privacy policy to describe the information they collect, the reason for collecting it, retention practices, third-party services they enable, and any rights that apply to their users.
LinkLume Shortlink Rewards does not itself create a WordPress.org account, cryptocurrency account, FaucetPay account, Cwallet account, or NOWPayments account for a user.
Important administrator responsibilities
This plugin provides software for operating a rewards workflow. The site owner is responsible for:
- Configuring reward amounts and payout rules responsibly.
- Funding and processing legitimate withdrawal obligations.
- Reviewing shortlink providers before sending users to them.
- Providing accurate Terms, Privacy Policy, contact information, and other required disclosures.
- Complying with applicable tax, consumer, advertising, financial, cryptocurrency, age, privacy, and other laws or regulations in the jurisdictions where the site operates.
- Securing API credentials and administrator accounts.

Installation
- Upload the
linklume-shortlink-rewardsfolder to/wp-content/plugins/, or install the plugin ZIP from Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin. - Activate LinkLume Shortlink Rewards from the WordPress Plugins screen.
- Open LinkLume Rewards in the WordPress administration menu.
- Review Settings and configure the site name, base currency, withdrawal rules, referral percentages, security limits, support details, and public-page content.
- Open Earning and configure at least one shortlink provider or direct campaign.
- Test the provider configuration before making a campaign available to users.
- Review Finance, Users & Referrals, Security, Content & Design, and System before opening the site to the public.
- Test registration, a complete claim flow, ledger crediting, and withdrawal processing on a staging site before production use.
No WooCommerce installation is required.

Does this plugin require WooCommerce?

No. LinkLume Shortlink Rewards is a standalone WordPress plugin and maintains its own rewards, claim, wallet, ledger, referral, deposit, and withdrawal records.

Does the plugin include a timed faucet or PTC ads?

No. The earning workflow is based on administrator-configured shortlink campaigns.

Do users need a FaucetPay account to register?

No. Registration uses normal WordPress user accounts. A payout account or wallet is only relevant when the user requests a withdrawal through a method that requires one.

Does the plugin automatically pay every withdrawal?

No. Withdrawal requests are recorded and processed according to the enabled method and available integration. Manual administrator processing remains available.

Does the plugin automatically support every shortlink service?

No. It includes configurable provider support for common API patterns and direct/custom templates. A provider must expose a compatible API or URL flow and must be configured correctly by the administrator.

The claim should not be rewarded merely because a provider request failed. Administrators can review provider configuration and claim records from the WordPress dashboard.

Can I change the reward currency?

Yes. The administrator can configure the base currency and campaign currency labels. These are accounting labels used by the plugin; the plugin does not create or issue a cryptocurrency.

Where are balances stored?

Balances and transaction records are stored in dedicated WordPress database tables created by the plugin. Administrative adjustments and reward events are recorded in the plugin ledger.

Test the full workflow on staging, configure real legal/privacy content, verify provider terms, configure payout rules, secure all API credentials, and make sure the service complies with laws applicable to your users and business.
